Client's First Visit:
The client must provide a photo ID. Clients with children must provide a copy of their lease with the names of the children on the lease.
Volunteer:
The Schuhmann Center is continually in need of volunteers. If you would like to help one or two mornings a week between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:45 am, please call the Center at (502) 589-6696.

About Us:
Schuhmann Social Service Center is an outreach ministry of the Shrine of St. Martin of Tours. We are a non-profit agency named in honor of Monsignor George W. Schuhmann, a former pastor of Louisville. We opened in 1982, working with the poor and homeless of the inner city.
Mission Statement:
Our Mission is to assist the homeless and needy by offering food, clothing and social service referrals in a Christ-like atmosphere of dignity and respect.
Service Area:
Persons who live north of our location to the Ohio River, west to 13th Street, south to Hill Street, east to Baxter Avenue and any homeless who come to the agency.
