American Heritage Girls:
KY1031
American Heritage Girls seeks to help girls to grow in their faith, cultivate a heart for service,
enjoy the great outdoors, and have more fun than they can imagine! Our motto is “Building women of
integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.” AHG is a national scouting program for girls ages 5-18 that is Christ-centered and enhances girls’ life experiences with fun-filled activities by
trained adults, supported by families and implemented by its members. AHG is a pro-family, pro-life
scouting organization and encourages full participation of the family unit.
American Heritage Girls Troop KY1031 was founded at St. Martin of Tours in November of 2004. We are the longest running troop in the area, celebrating our 20th anniversary this year! Troop KY1031 meets in St. Martin’s Shrine Hall twice a month to work on merit badges from the six frontiers: Heritage, Personal Well-Being, Family Living, Arts, Science & Technology, and Outdoor Skills. Additional service projects and outdoor activities are scheduled at various times throughout the year. Past activities have included mother/daughter teas, father/daughter camp outs and dinner dances, family camp outs and annual kickoff picnics, overnights at a museum, visits to the planetarium, fun at the Louisville Nature Center, and Summer Camp.
